The Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department (TLVFD) is a combination fire department providing 24/7 emergency response coverage with three professional and volunteer firefighters on duty each day.

Founded in 1969, TLVFD proudly serves the residents of the Timber Lakes/Timber Ridge community, Woodmill Creek, and surrounding areas. The department’s response area covers approximately three square miles in southern Montgomery County, bordered by The Woodlands Township and Harris County and located approximately 29 miles north of the City of Houston.

The district is home to approximately 8,000 residents and consists of established residential neighborhoods and a growing commercial base.

TLVFD maintains a strong partnership with Montgomery County Emergency Services District #14 (MCESD #14), which provides funding for fire protection and emergency services within the district. Through this partnership and the dedication of our professional and volunteer members, TLVFD remains committed to providing dependable, professional, and high-quality emergency services to the citizens and visitors of our community.
