Serving with Pride Since 1969

Our Mission

To protect the life and property of the citizens within the Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department’s response area and surrounding areas with professionalism and dedication.

About Us

The Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department is a combination department that provides three professional and volunteer firefighters on duty each day, which allows for 24/7 staffing.

TLVFD was founded in 1969 and serves the residents of the Timber Lakes / Timber Ridge community, Woodmill Creek, and surrounding areas. TLVFD’s response area is approximately 3 sq. miles, located in Southern Montgomery County and is bordered by The Woodlands Township and Harris County and is located approximately 29 miles north of the City of Houston.

The district is comprised of a mix between residential areas and a growing commercial base with a population of approximately 8,000 residents. TLVFD has a strong partnership with the Montgomery County Emergency Services District #14 from which it receives it’s funding to provide outstanding service to it’s citizens.

The Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for new, dedicated individuals to join its ranks.

No matter your experience level, if you have an interest in serving your community and have a strong desire to help others in their time of need, then TLVFD is the place for you!

If interested please fill out the form on our Join Page. Volunteer training is on Monday nights at 7:00 PM so that would be the best time to speak with an officer, but you can drop off an application anytime. The fire department will provide all training necessary to meet your needs of what you want to do within our organization, whether it be fighting fire, to operating the apparatus, or just a support role.
